Its black. It's fast. It's bad-ass. What else would you design and build for a guy who can build anything, and already owns some of the baddest toys in the land? Exactly: this truck. We started with a showroom-fresh 2005 Chevy 1500 Crew Cab, loaded to the gills, and proceeded to strip it like a hot 20-year-old single mom. The plan was to make the baddest prerunner daily driver in the world... and it had to be as unique as its owner.
If you recall our last Chevy, it was a mild, well-rounded performer that offered great looks, and street sensibility. Lucky for you, this time we're abandoning conventional logic and wisdom, and building a serious machine, built to take anything that can be thrown at it, and look good while taking that famous SDHQ beating.
Starting with a loaded 2005 Chevy 1500 LS Crew Cab, we'll build a cage, our own rear suspension, add long-travel up front, and beef up the engine (5.3L) and transmission, replace the rear end, and generally just make it one killer ride.
